Photography Tips

Brighten up the home.
Open all the window coverings and turn on every light. Using the flash is up to you. In most rooms the automatic sensor in your camera will work great.

Walk the property from the street to the backyard.
Start with the front of the house and continue taking pictures in the order that you would like them presented in your virtual tour. If you take a photo out of sequence, don’t worry – you can always change the order later.

Capture the home from different angles.
Photograph each room from 2-3 different directions. Apply this technique to the backyard as well.

Make the most of small areas.
When photographing a room, back up as far as possible into the corners of the room and keep the camera about chest high.

More than just the home.
Photographs of the views, local schools, parks, lakes, beaches, golf courses and other recreational photos near a home can often make a virtual tour even more interesting.
